Part 2: The Hidden Truth

Constance was ecstatic that it was the weekend.
It was the only time she felt free. Constance would
help her parents around the home on the weekends.
They lived out in the middle of nowhere.
Yet, living in the middle of nowhere was
perfect for Constance's condition.
"So how was school," Constance's mother asked?
"It is the same mom. Nothing ever changes and it never
will, "Constance answered. "Well, as long as you control yourself
and continue to wait it out," mother said.
"You might want to head inside. Dad is on his way home
from the store. He will be ready to train," mother said.
Constance had a big secret only three people knew.
Mr. Connor and her parents. Constance's parents,
Mark and Liz could not have a child.
Therefore, they decided to adopt.
However, during the adoption process,
there were many things left out.
They thought they were adopting from a secure adopting center.
In reality, they were adopting form a mad scientist.
Constance was not a monster.
She is human.
Constance was found on the street as a baby, by the wrong person.
He too, wanted a daughter of his own.
This mad man had lost his daughter after a tragic car accident.
After that, he realized he could not handle the death.
He used Constance as a lab rat.
He wanted to create something that would not die.
He was a retired vet, so he knew animal DNA like it was
on the back of his hand. He broke the law and mixed animal
DNA with human DNA. He did not have bad intentions.
He was just a broken man on the inside.
As you could imagine, mixing animal DNA with human DNA,
is not the brightest idea. He did not mix any DNA, but certain molecules
from DNA of numerous animals. He had spent years collecting blood samples
before his hands even got on Constance. Constance was not fully human.
Yet she is not fully animal either. She is perfectly 50/50.
Constance had the eyes of a owl, which included night vision.
She had the speed of a leopard, the quiet paws of a cat and the intelligence of an ape.
Of course, all of these collided with her human characteristics.
To end it, the scientist wanted to ensure that whatever
he created would never die. Not only never die but be able to protect
itself and never leave him.
Therefore, he injected bear and wolf blood.
He used wolf blood because of the loyalty quality.
He added the bear for the strength. Constance was not a monster.
Plus, if anyone were to ever see her form, they would think it is a
regular creature. The scientist manipulated. most of the wolf DNA and traits.
Therefore, her true form was as a wolf. Right after the adoption
took place, a traumatizing event happened to Constance's parents.
They witnessed hurt turn. They went to find the man, but he set fire to
himself in his home. He had felt guilty for what he did.
Plus, when he had the one thing he loved taken away,
he did not have a reason to live.
Constance’s parents saw the real Constance.
They knew if they turned her in, she
would continue to be treated as a lab rat.
In the worst-case scenario, be killed. They loved her so
much and were not scared of her anymore. They agreed to
train her. This training helped her to control her emotions.
Whenever she got too sad or mad, she would turn.
They taught her to numb emotion.
The only way Mr. Connor knows is because he was.
related to Constance's father. They were brothers.
Constance went to her room and changed.
She enjoyed training and being able to fully be herself.
Yet she always struggled understanding
what and who she really was. The biggest struggle of all. was to
control her temper with the bullies'.
Right before the old ford pickup truck pulled into the drive;
Constance sensed he was there. She could already smell him and heart his heartbeat. He to loved training her and he would get excited.
Since they lived in the middle of nowhere, for miles all around their house, was woods.
This was overall, good because it gave them privacy. They had at least 100 acres.
Which they used all of it for Constance's training.
As Constance waited in the backyard, the silence was broken
with, "Hey CC, you ready," her dad asked? She looked at him and said,
"You know I am." At that point, her eyes were golden yellow.
She knew what she needed to do.
She closed her eyes, focused on the sounds around her, smelled the
wildlife nearby. Her mindset began to swiftly change as she began to
replay in her head, instances at school.
Her body dropped to the ground, her hair grew out, her nose grew far
from her face, claws slowly grew out each foot. Lastly, a bushy tail and
a beautiful glossy black coat embraced her.
When she changed, it was intimidating.
You could see the anger and emotion in her eyes.
Mr. Connor and her parents loved her.
They loved her so much, they were not afraid. In fact, they
found her beautiful when she changed.
Constance turned her strong large head towards her father.
With a stopwatch in hand, he signaled his fist out infront of his body.
This meant her training had begun.
Constance ripped her claws into the earth.
As she ran it was as if life around her was going in slow motion.
The muscles of her back were constant in repetition. She smelt the deep wood, fresh cool air hitting her nostrils and the sun peeking through the trees.
She got a whiff of something fresh and young, a doe. She
continued running until the scent was bathed into the woods.
She felt light. powerful and strong when she was this way.
In this form, she never felt weak, sick, or tired. It was like unlimited power.
She saw the doe and began to slowly crawl, just like a cat.
Her heart began to pound, and each paw got closer.
She breathed in and out and then lunged. She went straight for the doe's neck.
She did not want to make a mess. Especially since it was a younger.
Under five minutes she had eaten the whole thing.
She began to slowly make her way back.
She preferred to walk after an eating a meal.
Not only did she not want to get a cramp,
but she loved the outdoors.
After all, this was where she belonged.
