Part 4: No More

Bright, harsh sunlight hit my face.

As I slowly opened my eyes, I noticed I was

not that comfortable. Plus, things did not smell

the greatest. I freaked out once I realized I was outside.

I had slept out there all night. That means, I am miles away

from the house, I lost control and I have got to get

to school. I leaped from the tree and ran as fast

as I could. I was already five minutes late to school.

I shot a text to my parents saying I was okay, threw

on fresh clothes, a hat and headed out the door. Dad's truck

was still here. He probably figured I stayed out all night.

He probably also knew I would be a little late.

I love my parents.

I cranked the old vehicle and skidded out the drive.

I am surprised I did not get a ticket. I whipped the truck

into a parking spot and ran to the door. Once I got to

the door, it was locked. I then saw a small sticky note that

said, "You should have been here on time

Constantine," it read.

It looked like Rebecca's writing. I was not in the mood.

Especially after my night. I felt my heart began to race.

According to time, everyone was in the middle of 1st period.

It would be a while till the bell rang. It would also be a while before

anyone saw me at the door.

I had to get in. I slowly backed up and ensured nobody

was looking. I ran towards the door and kicked one in.

I then picked up the door and put it back. Whoever came in

next, would be blamed for breaking it. I headed straight to first period.

I quietly opened the door and sat in the back.

It was dead silent. Rebecca and Elizabeth already glared at me.

"Crap," I thought to myself. I completely forget about

my history final. With it being the end of the year, it was time for finals.

Luckily, I am an intelligent student. Especially the fact I have over a

thousand different molecules and pieces of DNA in me.

I never failed a quiz or a test.

I finished my exam right before the bell rang.

It was lunch time. I went to the line to fix my tray.

I could smell someone coming up behind me. It was Mason.

He bumped into me and said, "What happened CONSTANTINE,

did someone miss there little alarm this morning," he mockingly asked.

I ignored him; I did not even look. He got mad and then

stamped on my foot, this made me trip. I tripped and

spilt all my food all over me. My heart began to race so fast,

I got up and ran to the bathroom. I needed to calm down.

Out of all places, I could not have an episode here.

There was only one person that knew how to calm

me down. I left the bathroom and was headed to Mr. Connors

building. I sensed again, someone coming. Mason.

I kept on my way and Mason yelled behind me, "Hey, you

might want to invest in some perfume cause you smell and look

like a wet dog," he angrily said.

That was it. My heart began to

pound out of my chest. I felt my veins begin

to pop out. I began to tell myself, red eyes, no

change. Red eyes, no change.

When I turned around, his mouth dropped open.

His face turned white. As I walked fast toward him,

he said nothing nor moved. I had seen this a thousand

times. It is when your prey gets so terrified, they are unable

to move. I saw it the most in deer, but never a person.

As I got closer, I grabbed him by his collared shirt

and picked him up off the ground. I carried him to

a corner and slammed him up against the wall. I stared

into his eyes harder than I do with my prey.

I then dropped him to the floor and left.

All i could think of was, I need Mr. Connor.

I had no idea what I looked like nor what Mason saw.

I reached for the entrance of Mr. Connor's door and

as I opened it, I accidentally broke the door off.

"Great, I thought to myself." I began to frantically knock-on

Mr. Connor's office door. When he opened the door,

he looked at me and automatically pointed to the track.

He knew if anything would calm me down, it had to

involve movement. I was already in sweats, so I began to run.

As I ran, he asked what happened. "I just couldn't take any

more harassments. Mason tripped me in the cafeteria

and told me I smelt like wet dog," I yelled.

Mr. Connor then asked, "So what did you do, "I ensured he saw

the wet dog and got a good whiff of me," I said. He shook his head,

rubbed his large hand threw his hair. "Well, I am sure he will never

mess with you again because your eyes were red. At that point I was

so fed up I could care less. "How am I supposed to protect you now CC?

You know the school can call authority and lock you up and not

in a humanely way," he said. "Then let them lock me up," I said.

After I calmed down, my eyes were back to

normal color. Mr./ Connor gave me hug and fresh

clean clothes. He firmly grabbed my arm and

said, "Limit eye contact and don't say a word," He never

hurt me. Sometimes he or my parents would grab me, but it

was to get my attention. Plus, like I said before, nobody could hurt me.

I headed for my locker and a note fell out. It read, "Principal’s

office." I thought to myself, "Great."

I headed to the principal’s office. I opened the door

and headed for a seat. The chair spun around, and my

heart dropped. It was Rebecca in the chair. The principle must

had gone out to lunch. Then Elizabeth entered the room and so did Mason.

The other kids joined in too. Of course, Mason now stayed far away.

"You must be punished for harming a student," Rebecca said. Mason's friends surrounded me and began to hit and kick me.

"NO MORE," I thought to myself. I allowed my heart to

beat faster and faster. I felt my hair rise. I let my body changed.

It changed super-fast. Right after I changed, the increase of my

body size and height threw all the boys off. The guys went flying

left and right. I leaped onto the principle's desk and got in

Rebecca's face. I roared louder than ever. I felt my eyes turn bloodshot red. Rebecca screamed in horror. I then turned around and did the same thing/ Everyone began to scream and head for the door.

I headed for the door, cut the lights, and pulled

the fire alarm. I then escaped by breaking through the window.

I wanted to hurt them, but I knew deep down it would not have

been right.

I was so boiled at that point I would not have

been able to stop. I made my way home. I leaped from the school

into the road right infront of a car. The car's horn almost deafened my

ears. I then made a dash in the woods to limit the amount of people who saw me. I finally made it home and headed to my special spot.

My heart began to slow down. My veins went down.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe in. My body

changed back into my human form. I did not worry about

getting in trouble because I was free. nobody would ever

mess with me again.

Besides if worst came to worse, we could

move. As i opened my blue eyes as a human I looked out at the

beautiful nature.

I no longer doubted who I was or what I

was. "I am human," I said.
