Have you ever
struggled with
anxiety? Did it last for
a few minutes, an hour,
or even years?
Have you ever been
sitting around a person
or group of people, and
all of a sudden, you feel an
overwhelming uncomfortable
and nervous feeling? A
powerful urge to leave?
Do you feel nervous and
anxious when your alone,
with a friend or even family?
Do you see something that
reminds you of something
from your past that gives
you anxiety?
The ugly truth is anxiety
is very real. If you struggle
with anxiety or have struggled
with it I am sorry. Let this be
an encouragement to you.
You are not alone.
Furthermore, this is not of God.
It is from Satan, just like any other
hardship or suffering. Yet,
everyone's situation is different.
For some, it can take a long time
to get over anxiety. Others get
anxious around different people
or surroundings. Anxiety is a mystery.
Either way, fight to never give up.
Realize first you are not alone.
Try to change your mindset or
environment. Comment on the girls
sweater next to you in the Starbucks line.
Ask that stranger how you can pray for them.
Tell people close to you that you're struggling.
If they do not believe you or even make fun,
then tell someone else.
Try to attend social activities that
can help you relax, but also be with
people. Whether it be attending a
movie or an outdoor event. Find and
cling to hobbies. Make time to do
things you enjoy whether it is
exercise, reading or going outside.
Though it is good to have
time for yourself, find others
who can do things with you.
Be patient with yourself. It is
not your fault. Pray.
