She misses someone she
has never met.
She starves for something
she can never have.
In fact, she thirsts after a
drink that does not even exist.

Not many know, but this is
her kryptonite. Her forever
weakness, curse.
It is the one permanent,
empty, lonely void in her life
that overtime, her hope diminishes.
It is the one thing she honestly feels
will never be fulfilled.
She wants too much. She convinces.
herself that maybe she demands
too much.
It is as if she is seeking a
perfect resume for a job
that is much too complicated
because she is the occupation.
She constantly wonders if she
will forever be alone. Will she
ever get the privileged to be a
mother, she asks herself?
She has much to offer, or at least
she once thought she did. Maybe
truthfully she has nothing to offer
at all. Better yet, nothing that
anyone in this day and age is
interested in.
She has convinced herself she
does not deserve it. She tells
herself that she deserves to
be alone. Her mind twirls with the
thought that maybe she functions
better alone.
What she wants is impossible.
All she wants is a real, Godly,
romantic relationship. Her throat
thirsts for it and her heart aches
for it. What she wants is impossible
because she is looking for a
Victorian relationship in the 21st century.
It does not exist in the dark,
poisonous, corrupt 21st century.
